ABOUT US

We started making sandwiches for box lunches in 2015. Our name comes from the inventor of the sandwich, John Montagu from Kent, England, in the 1700s.

All our preserves are made using local products and no added chemicals. We work with family recipes, pickling, slow cooking, and traditional methods that allow flavors to develop naturally.

For us, time is our most important ingredient!

Our production kitchen became a closed-door, open-kitchen dinner experience. Our menu is built around the preserves we make in-house, presented as a tasting experience that adapts to different dietary preferences. What you eat here comes directly from what we produce, store, and care for in our kitchen.

As the kitchen evolved, so did our interest in other forms of production. This led to Queen Tallow, our natural skincare line made in house, using carefully rendered beef tallow and simple, traditional techniques.

Montagu is a place to eat, but also a place where things are made. From preserves and ice creams to creative events and small-batch products, everything starts in the kitchen and follows the same philosophy: work slowly, respect the process, and let time do its job.

We hope you enjoy the experience as much as we enjoy creating it.
